Carrant Brook Junior
Carrant Brook School was opened in September 1980. It was designed to cater for the educational needs of junior age children and can accommodate a two form entry of 240 children, with an admission number of 60 each year. Presently we have 7 classes and a NOR of approximately 200.
There are excellent teaching and learning facilities in the school, including a library and resource centre, computers in every class and a computer suite, extensive playing fields, a large gymnasium and assembly hall, and seven well equipped classrooms.
We have very close liaison and links with Northway Infant School from which the majority of our children transfer and with Tewkesbury Secondary School, which most children attend from the age of 11.
The three schools run a range of joint initiatives both academic and pastoral.
A number of our children gain places each year at Pates and Denmark Road High school in Cheltenham and Gloucester respectively.
The school uniform consists of a bottle green sweatshirt with a school badge on the front, grey or black trousers, grey skirt or culottes and a white shirt/blouse or polo shirt. Black shoes are required (not trainers) for daily wear. Sweatshirts, book bags and cardigans can be purchased from the school secretary. Additional, school uniform is also available from a Gloucester stockist or can be ordered online by following this link
